Ram And Motherboard

hello all, i have run into a very big problem, my computer is working at pathetic speeds, i have opened my computer up and i see 4 ram modules, 2 of them are taken, i have 2 free. how do i find out what RAM cards of compatible with my mother board?

Your computer is running slow because it probably has a slow processor. You'd need a complete overhaul to get better performance.
 
Which processor are you currently using , i can't make out from the above description.

it's a socket 478 motherboard, it also uses DDR and AGP, so he should probably just start a new build, though he could buy a cheap Asrock 775Dual-VSTA which is a socket 775 which supports both DDR AND DDR2 along with AGP AND PCIe (x4), it was basically a board that permitted slow upgrading for those that didn't want to upgrade all at once kinda like the DDR2 and DDR3 hybrid boards you see out there now like my X48C Platinum, he could also get a cheap 775 cpu from somewhere and probably end up paying less than $70 altogether because he could reuse his DDR and AGP video card...
