Its 1680x1050, I've been using this monitor for over 2 years since it still works.

@dude_56013, you should hurry up and post a picture of your new TV, with the TV on and doing something if you can. I'm trying to see if it's worth the $500 (after taxes).

I told my parents that I was going to get a Panasonic, and my parents said "no" because they bought 2 Panasonic SDTVs in the 90's, and said the picture and build quality was not good. I don't know if that is true since I was a kid back then, and to a kid, a TV is a TV.

Their LCD's aren't as good. I prefer Sharp, Samsung, LG, Toshiba, and a couple others.

8ms is very small. You could try for a 4ms though. There are a few of them.

Yeah, you can calibrate, but I prefer not too because I am not that great with rhythm.
