^ That's very unfortunate. My parents control most of the money I have since I use them as a bank. They're usually pretty open to whatever I want to get, but considering the circumstances, I don't think they'd allow me to make this purchase, especially considering that my dad hates buying anything used/refurbished.

It was broken and returned then they fixed it.

refurbished doesn't necessarily mean "broken", I have refurb stuff that is brand new, all refurb means is that it was returned and can't legally be sold as BNIB, people return things for many reasons, I got a refurb X-Fi Platinum with the front bay unit and there wasn't a scratch on it...

sometimes people order stuff, find it on sale cheaper and just return it and state some BS reason, thus, brand new stuff sold as refurb...
