Apple isn't alone on the disabling jailbroken phones though. Remeber the PSP? It could be bricked from updates or something I think.

Not anymore, Sony got smart with the security. It works with 1000s and older 2000s though. However, some hackers found a few exploits, so the newer 2000, 3000 and Go might get hacked soon. They are waiting on Sony's next move.
