So the 2010 opening ceremony has just taken place in my hometown, what are your opinions?

Personally, I loved it!

I fell asleep and woke up just in time to see the malfunctioning cauldron lighting setup. Wayne Gretzky sure did look uncomfortable waiting for something to happen. I thought it was odd that they had to have him leave the stadium and light another cauldron across town.

lol... the guy on the radio here was talking about how Gretzky should light himself on fire and then light the cauldron with his flaming body...

needless to say not to many Pens fans are a fan of Gretzky

I got off work and caught the tail end of the news. Did anyone else see that guy in the luge crash? He hit a steel barrier at almost 90mph. And if your wondering he didn't make it. Sucks to see things start out like that.

It sucks worse that they had the nerve to show the crash on TV.

I can't imagine what that did to his family.

Then the family requested them not to air it.
They agreed and it will not be aired, the family has not, and doesn't want to see the video.
