Dell Inspiron 530 and Gaming

Is it a good idea to buy a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop pc and put in a new video card to do modern gaming on? or would I be better off building a new computer from scratch? Thank you!

I bought the Inspiron 531 and put the HD 4670 in there with the stock 300W psu and it ran fine.

Just recently I upgraded to a 500W to be safe and it plays most games at 1440x900 at good settings with good performance.

In my opinion, you would be better off building your own... you will save ALOT of money.

I am the same as MNI i bought a 531 and threw a 8600GT in that mug, and it worked fine, then upgraded to bigger PSU.

Yea is WAY better building instead of buying a computer you dont exactly know about. i heard the motherboards are really shiity on the big name companies... they just give u the very minimal for your system. learn to build yourself and buy parts that you EXACTLY want and build one. Its fun and a good experience!
