Power Supply Question

Hi, my friend got a Blackmagic Intensity Pro capture card but is having blue screen and crash problems, as well as the card just doing its job horribly. He only has a 300w power supply, but I can't find out how much the card needs.

Does anybody happen to know if the problem could be his power supply, or anything else?

He is also running Windows 7, if that helps.

He has 8GB of RAM and and somewhere between 2 and 3Ghz processor. other than that i don't know.

uhh. What interface does the card use and is there any power adapter slot on the card? the PCI-E interface can supply a maximum of 75W, 6-pin can supply 75W and 6+2 can supply 150W.

EDIT: looks like it uses x1 and no adapters. In that case I'd say it can only use up to 75W.

I wouldn't say that it uses THAT much power, but the 300W PSU really kills it.

Note I said it can only use "up to" 75W. It probably consumes somewhere in the 15-20 range.
