They should make a hard drive model. Given the ipad's size it should have a hard drive option as well

I agree - and I don't think conventional hard drives really belong in tablets anyway. To start with they take up a lot of space, much more than a tiny 64GB flash card. Secondly they're inherently not very resilient to knocks, bumps and suchlike (and being apple if they put one in you wouldn't be able to swap it out again) and lastly they'd eat into the battery life like no tomorrow!
