I already have a build set up. Gonna use an Asus mobo (ASUS M4A79T Deluxe Motherboard). Unless this gigabyte is better?

MSI 790FX-GD70 is better.

If you are going to go intel, get don't get the 1366 socket. Last I checked, the ones on the 11XX socket was the better performer.

The 1366 has triple channel DDR3.

For later upgrades, all of the awesome stuff like the upcoming 6-core will be on 1366. It also allows more PCIe channels.
