need help with laptop any advice??

ok so i have a laptop and the display is broken but i have it hooked up to a old monitor and it wont start windows normally it will only allow you to start up in safe mode which i cant acess any thing from there. I need to know how to restart the whole system or how to use command prompt to fix it. if you have any advice or suggestion it would be greatly appreciated.

By "restart" do you mean a re-installing the operating system? Your laptop should have come with something called "Recovery Discs". Try using this to repair your installation of Windows. If it doesn't work, you might have to reinstall it.

What happens you try to enter regular boot?

You may also try to press "f8" just before Windows start up and try to restore Windows to an older point. It worked another day when I was trying to fix a Windows Vista installed on a Sony Waio.

yes like re install it because it dont start normally. and i dont have any discs from when i got the laptop. i lost them when i moved to south dakota.
