Issues with my site

Hello, I am new here and I am having trouble with my truck based web forum. I am using phpBB and I need to upgrade to the new version. I have the file uploaded to my cPanel, how do I install the update package? Sorry but I am a complete computard. Thanks in advance.

bump? I decided to do the automatic update package, and on the FTP it keeps saying Connection Failed Unable to change directory. Any ideas?

Run the installation virtually, phpBB should come with an option in its preferences that says "UPDATE HERE". What kind of control panel are you using?

In cPanel it's under the "System" tab.

Do you have the right permissions to update?
