That should work. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't ceramique or something. (ive seen it.)
Be sue to apply even pressure to the heatsink so its evenly spread.

ok thanks for all the help to

had to go to store to buy rubbing alcohol lol cleaned off heatsink n cpu re applied n on first boot bios says 32 degress celcius but its up now o well maybe ill just get the CM V8 cooler its 47 degress right now

min is 47 highest is 52 woohoo not bad

52 is full load under prime95?
That isn't as bad but its not that great either. Let it burn in and it might get a little better. If not, you might need to check your cpu and cooling base for flattness, and potentially lap one if they arent flat.

Phenom I's are pretty hot, so an aftermarket cooler would be worth it.

EDIT: If you lap/pressure mod a TRUE, it will be a lot better than a V8.
