thermal compound

I used a very slight amount of tuniq tx-2 on my i7 920 processor. By very thin I mean I can still make out the words on the processor slightly. Is there going to be a problem with my computer? Should I take the heatsink off now and re-do the thermal paste and make it thicker? help please. thanks

That is plenty of paste. Now it will not be the best for the amount that you have used. Usually just enough so that you can't read the lettering on the chip is the right amount if you are going to be creating quite a bit of heat. Do not worry about it unless you are going to be cleaning out your computer anyways.
