Still on ebay for $1200. Its interesting that the OC they used for the record vantage score was only 3.2 GHz. I figure the 32nm i7 could go way beyond that.

Anyway I'm curiuos if I can break an air cooling record on my 955. See post in OC section.

I looked and it's not supposed to be released until Q2 '10. lol, I think Intel leaked a few? Or the Ebay ad and benchmarks are a hoax?

No, intel leaked a few ES's.

They're still under development but I hear the ES works fine.

Weren't they supposed to release it with 6 Physical cores, HyperThreading and TurboBoost? Efficiently making 12 overclocked threads?

Yes, but I don't know if the hyperthreading is working on the ES.

Yeah, that was supposed to be the big competition for this year. The I9's vs AMD's TBA 8 physical core procs.

I can't wait for the 8 core. I'm buying one the day its released.

I've been thinking about buying two server CPU's nd making an 8 core, but I can't find a good dual socket board.

Jeez, the time I will be getting a quad core will probably when an octo core comes out. I guess that's what happens when I try to build a computer with $600.
