I've searched the interwebs looking for an answer. Running windows 7 with an optiarc bd-rom bc-5500s ATA drive. Ive tried imgburn, nero, infra recorder none will work they all burn the image to the disc but before it is done there is an error message and then the disc becomes non bootable. Help please. I have included the log file from imgburn.

Sounds like the image is bad. Trying burning something else to see if it works? If so then it's the image. If you have the same problem then it might be the burner.

Of course, it's possible the disk itself is also bad - worth trying another if you haven't already.

Oh, I guess I assumed (<-- I know...ass u me....) that since the disk was made unbootable and since he tried so many programs that he was using a differnet one each time. Any time i get an error I just throw the CD away and get another so I guess i though that is what he was doing.

If you are trying the same CD over and over, then yes, I'd try another CD as well.

Also, slow down the burning speeds. Sometimes programs can go to fast for your burner. Put them down to one of the slowest speeds and see if that helps.

i used a different dvd each time, ill try to download the image file again. its from microsoft so i assumed it would be a good file but with microsoft you just never know

Slow down the burning speed. It is most likely not the image, but the speed at which you are burning it.
