PSD file not showing layers

A co-worker and I will frequently work on a PSD file, then hand it over to the other to make final changes.

Recently I was working on a file, saved the PSD format, gave to my co-worker, and when the file opened up on her computer the image was there but there were no layers present.

Has anyone encountered this problem before and/or know a solution to the problem.

We are both using photoshop CS4. I created the file on my computer (layers showing up fine) then gave to her (no layers showing).

But you've had no problems in the past?

Make sure when you save the PSD file, you set it to save layers.

I've not had this problem in the past. PS is set to save psd files with layers.

The files and layers look fine on my computer, but not on my co-workers.

Anyone have any ideas. The files were created on my computer, nit sure how that would affect anything.
