Yahoo.com takes me to MySpace!?!

Title says it all...I've done all virus scans and deleted history and I have restarted my PC.


Anyone know whats wrong?

Works fine here. Are you clicking on a stored bookmark or typing it in your address bar? If its a bookmark then check that it points to the right address.

I have it saved as home for Firefox.

It's http://www.yahoo.com

and it takes me to MySpace...on the upstairs laptop it will just say 404 Not found...help!

Mmmmmm.

The last time that happened to me, about 4 years ago, I was hijacked and had to re-install my OS.

Try resetting your Firefox or re-install it.

About 4 years ago my browser got hacked and my homepage changed to Lycos! I went into the browser settings and re-entered my homepage but it reverted back to Lycos. I also had up-to-date AV and scanned too but it didn't catch anything.

I got sick of seeing 'that dog' everytime I opened my browser and ended up re-installing my OS.

The weird thing is...facebook used to be messed up and it took me to myspace, then it fixed itself. Now it's only messed up with yahoo.com (with out the m.us.yahoo) is there any programs that can try to get the hijacked browser off? I am scanning with Micorsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes...

Save your bookmarks, un-install Firefox completely and re-install it.
