I did a Virus scan with Avast free program and it found One Virus.
So I select the Item and clicked on the Repair Tab.

Now it only had Repair or Cancel so I clicked on Repair

Then it did it and finished the scann.

And it give a readout of the scan
and it says 1. Virus found and 0. Deletted????

Why did it not say 1. Virus Deletted because I clicked Repaire.

How do I dellete a Virus if it wonbt say Delette Just Repaire or Cancel??

Try another free program like malwarebytes antimalware or avg.

is this a virus program just for E Mail viruses or both

Sometimes virus scanners can't always delete the files they find infected - most commonly because they're being used by something else. Try running the scan and deleting it in safe mode - you'll stand a far higher chance of success this way.

Same principle whether it's deleting it or repairing it - it can't modify it if the file is being used by another process.
