Just wondering whats the best way to set up my hard drives. I was thinking of a 160gb or 250gb for my OS and then two- 500gb or 640gb. Is this a good way to go or would something else work better.

It really depends on your application - what's your motivation for having more than one drive in there?

This computer will be mostly for CS4 so someone said to run two hard drives and back up everything on one.

EDIT: Sorry this post was a duplicate of the above initially, not sure what happened there...

If you're worried about reliability then the best thing to do may be to run a RAID 1 setup (or RAID 5 if you're planning on getting 3 or more drives.) You can partition those how you please, but if you use one of the above levels you'll ensure that if one of your drives goes down then you won't lose any of your data.

No problem I was just asking if they need to be all the same
Ah, it was phrased as a statement rather than a question ;)

To cut a long answer short - they don't technically HAVE to be, but it makes absolutely no sense to have them as different makes / sizes to start with.
