Need a power supply

i admit, it is. and iv seen them go for only 220$
just want to be sure this is Good-To-Go for a brand spanking new build.

id hate to fry a 4,000$ PC...

I'm sure you want to be careful, but I would be comfortable running that build off a 1000 watt psu, with 6 - 18 amp rails. this is 1200 watts and 6 - 38 amp rails. You are good to go my friend.

of the higher wattage psus I see the most good stuff said about these two, the ENERMAX REVOLUTION85 and CORSAIR CMPSU-1000HX...

if budget is a concern this OCZ ProXStream is a good recertified unit that is still dirt cheap after a few months on sale...
