Choosing best DDR3 option for the board...

Could someone let me know which would be "fastest" for DDR3 in this board. In other words, would I benefit from a faster MHZ or a lower CAS setting?...

Faster Speed (1600; CAS9)
Normal (1333; CAS8)
Lower CAS (1333; CAS7)

Notice that the board says 1600(O.C.). Does this mean even if I put 1600 in, it's going to run at 1333? That would be pointless. I don't ever plan to overclock this (it's my friend's build).

Since you're not going to be doing any overclocking, the G.SKILL Ripjaws with the lower timings would be you're best bet. They will more than likely need to be set to the correct timings in the BIOS.

Yes, the memory will default to DDR3 1333. In order to run memory rated at DDR3 1600 speeds on that board, you would need to set that speed in the BIOS, essentially over clocking them to the desired speed.
