My room can get a bit dusty(over time) laminate flooring. should i get a desk with a "cubby" with a door for it. but having the door left open. or should i get a open desk and sit the tower on the floor??? what should I do. Will my pc get tooo hot inside the designated tower slot? I would prefer a desk with this.... what do you think?

Just leave the door open while you are gaming and surfing and you will be ok. If the back of the compartment is covered, make sure to cut it out or eliminate it for proper ventilation.

It'll be fine as long as you leave the door open and you have good ventilation on the front and back of the case, not all on the side.

that should be fine, as long as you have fans in places other than the side panel.
