Thats really easy to fix. I've done it on 2 laptops, and neither took more than 20-30 minutes. Just solder it back on, or if you arent comfortable doing it yourself,find someone who can solder to do it for you.

Time for some pwn.

I attempted to do that, but my iron won't melt the solder.

Get a hotter iron, or some sort of torch.

Actually its a 15.6 inch ASUS monitor thats rigged to a binder to make it stay in portrait mode.
