What would be the best kind of ram for a phenom ii x4 955 I've read their site and they say PC3 10600 (DDR3-1333MHz) – AM3 but which producer would be best for it, g.skill, crucial and so on thanks.

Only the X58 chipset (the LGA1366 platform) can support Triple Channel RAM. He needs DDR3 Dual Channel. I always use OCZ as they have the highest compatibility as far as I am aware.

Ooops I totally didnt think of that LOL!!! Thanks for making that aware! :)

Does it matter if the ram is 10600 10666 or 10660

Edit....
The AMD website says that the phenom ii x4 955 supports up to 1333mhz but my motherboard can support 1800(O.C.)/1600/1333/1066 MHz so can I use any of those or do I need to keep it with 1333 for my cpu?

Ehh, for that system, I would stick with 1333. You can certainly take advantage of higher clocked RAM since you have the HT, but it's not a necessity at all. Now, if you don't mind spending extra money, then go with 1600MHz (PC3-12800) as that is a pretty damn fast speed.

Gotta be careful with RAM that is specifically designed for the P55 chipset. Some of them have built in voltage limiters to 1.5-1.65 volts. Which I suppose isn't all bad as the DDR3 JEDEC spec says 1.6 volts, but it limits your overclocking by a little.
