Hey guys just need help with a few things with my new rig I'm building.

First off with my choice of mobo it's between the ASUS M4A79T Deluxe and the MSI 790FX-GD70 and would just like a few comments on which one would suit me better via performance and overclocking ability as well as the range of tweakable BIOS options and obviously best performance overall.

The CPU is the low wattage model of the Phenom II x4 965 BE, with 8 gig of G.Skill Ripjaw ram at 1600 MHz running on Windows 7 professional 64 bit. For more information I will be using a 4890 crossfire setup which is why I require use of 2 16x PCIe 2 slots. Relating to this, the other main question I was going to ask was that with the two motherboards stated above the x16 slots are reasonably far apart (check the links below for a picture of each of the motherboard layouts and you'll see what I mean), and despite it being quite a simple, silly question, will the crossfire cable reach despite the large gap between the two?

ASUS M4A79T Deluxe: http://gigglehd.com/zbxe/files/attach/images/236/564/743/001/Asus_M4A79T_Deluxe_board_04.jpg (the 16x slots are the two blue PCIe 2 slots)

MSI 790FX-GD70: http://images.bit-tech.net/content_images/2009/05/msi-790fx-gd70/3-8.jpg (the 16x slots are the top PCIe 2 slot and the third blue one)

So taking these pictures into account, will the crossfire cable successfully reach on both or either of them?

Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advanced for the response.

yes, it will reach just fine. I know too far apart

those video cards are thick so itll seem like you need more space

Asus is known for making good quality boards with excellent overclocking capabilities. Either board will include a Crossfire cable that is long enough to cover the gap between the video cards.
