Which should i install? i'm open to hear both the pros and cons of either OS.
to help out, My General day on the computer is spent:
im Currently runsing XP Pro SP3
on the internet
Doing Computer Game programing
Doing Computer Game Graphics
Testing Computer Games
Editing my Registry
pretty much anything else that could make my computer BSOD :D
(i'm serious)

Also, How Might i Raise My FSB or Multiplyer so i may overclock my processor?
Intel Pentium 4 2.66 GHz

I'd say Vista at the least. Why not get Win7? I'm just sick of XP and it's non native way of handling SATA drives. People can complain about Vista/7 all they want, at least I don't need to dig out a floppy drive and hit F6.

I'd say you need to go with XP or with Windows 7. Stay away from Vista.

Also, from my understanding you can't overclock an Intel Chip as the mobo's are locked from the factory? Can anyone verify this?

You can OC intel chips, its just not quite as simple as AMD.

OP: It depends on your preferences. Some people like xp, some like vista. If you are neutral, go vista because you get DX10 support. Although dual-boot could be a good option. This way, you have both OSes installed side-by-side and you just select which one you want at startup (this is assuming you already have the discs, dont go buy 2 copies of windows to do this lol)

hmmm...

hmmm... x2

im having trouble deciding still but for now ill go with Vista

and yes i do have both disks

also, is direct x 10 (or whatever vertion said) noticably good?

I would now like to kno this to, Is running My KERNAL on my physical ram faster?
P.S i do know how to do that... no instructions needed.
