I have a EMachine Laptop and i just got it from the recycling bin at school. I repaired it by wiping the system and putting a clean installation of windows xp on there. Well its running fast and its great for typing papers. Its just a laptop i can use until i hit college.

So far as i am using the machine, it gets the blue screen and restarts the machine and it doesn't even let me know what went wrong.

Anyone wanna help me stop getting these reboots from happening.

-Thanks
Everything is Appreciated.

My guess is there's some hardware fault and that's why it was in the bin ;)

Either way, to look at the blue screens properly so you can see what's going on or at least get an error code to have a look at, follow the insructions here.

well if theres nothing wrong with the instalation then it is mosty probibly some ram thats going bad to check (use the bios ram checking app or use the ubuntu live install cd witch has a memtest on it as well)

Disable the automatic restart upon system fail and then read us off the 0x00000000000000000 code it gives you please.

50% are the results of software incompatible or corrupt.
30% caused by virus. In this case, your laptop always gets freezing.
Other causes should be system bug and hardware failure.
