laptop Battery

i ahve a problem. i have a laptop and the battery ant charging it is pluged in and when i un-plug it it will turn off. i will leave it over night but it still won't charge. it doesn't say it is charging. the battery is in and when i hover over the power it says (plugged in, not charging). i have let it run dead and treied again re-charging it but it does no good. any help would be helpfull

It probably just needs a new battery. Rechargeable batteries won't last for ever and what shortens their life is people plugging their laptops in to use them even though they don't need recharging.

Agreed - to make sure, have you got a multimeter? If so test it after a full charge and see if it's at the required voltage. My guess is that it won't be - hence your problems!
