HD accessing issues

After I got my roommates PC up and running with Vista installed, vista sees his Western Digital 500gig drive under the device manager, but we cant access it through My Computer. The driver is current and it is working properly

I have tried other SATA slots and every time I try other slots, vista installs it, says it works, but can never access it.

WD5001AALS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB

Ideas?

Right click on "Computer" or "My Computer" and then click "Manage" then click "Disk Management" and look for the drive and format it. If this is a new drive then it needs to be formatted to be seen.
