Hey guys as you know Modern Warfare 2 is coming out in bout two weeks and my computer is ready to go to play I just need to get a couple more things to be able to play it.
First of all I'll be playing on a laptop so I'll need a laptop cooler so it doesn't explode:D . And a good usb gaming type mouse. I've had bad experiences with laser mice and would like to go back to usb and save some batteries lol. Thanks for reading this and for all the help

bout $80-100 dollar, maybe a bit more because my birthday is up two days before MW2 comes out:D

I'll be getting Modern Warfare 2 as well, except for XBOX360. I can't play FPS on the computer for some reason, lol, maybe because I use a trackball mouse (although I do play TF2... that's technically a FPS, though other than sniping you don't really have to aim much lol).

As for a good mouse, Logitech and RAZER both make really good gaming mice. Here are some examples of mice I've used:

Logitech G5 (2000dpi, 7 buttons) - $54.99 I used this mouse for a long time, loved it, great adjustable dpi (low, mid, high, 400, 800, 2000 i believe), plenty of programmable buttons, wired/laser (I hate wireless mice), and comfortable feel.

Logitech G9 (3200dpi, 5 buttons) - $74.99 Somewhat smaller than the G5, has to be gripped somewhat differently, higher dpi than the G5, however I personally prefer the feel of the G5. I'd use the G5 or the Lachesis before this mouse, but its still a great mouse.

RAZER Lachesis (4000dpi, 9 buttons) - $64.99 The shape on this one threw me off at first, but it is actually quite comfortable to hold.

My personal recommendation is the Logitech G5, its a great mouse, and 2000dpi is plenty. Anything from Logitech or RAZER are great though.

A little off topic, but I'm boycotting MW2(along with 1 mil.+ other people) for the fact that they banned dedicated servers.

I am an admin of a clan that owns multiple MW and W@W servers. We will not be able to play together as clan without a dedicated server, and say good bye to game mods too, oh well, there's always other games.

To answer your question, in terms of cooling pads, I recommend getting one that has two fans(or more) on each side as opposed to one fan in the middle, I find that the dual fan setup cools a lot better. Other than that as long as you don't buy a really cheapo brand then you should be fine.

One LARGE fan in the center would work well too I assume, but they tend to be expensive:

Might I recommend something like this, never used it myself but it looks useful:

Agreed, I would never buy MW2 for computer unless they allow dedicated servers. I play my FPS on console (XBOX360) though so I'll still be buying the game :p

the G9 is a great mouse to play games with, i would highly recommend it. and i think that they raised the DPI to over 5000

That's the newer G9x, up to ~5700dpi. It's a bit more expensive though ($95+).

Anything over 2000dpi is more than enough regardless.

If you plan on moving your mouse at 150 inches per second, go with the G9x. /shrug

Thanks guys, quick question what is a deticated sever? I usally play on my ps3 but i think im gonna get it on the pc. thanks for the help. the G5 or the razer looks nice
