Can this be built for <800

The blu-ray player might be a deal-breaker, but it should be possible depending on if you also need Operating System, Monitor, and peripherals.

Actually having a bit of trouble keeping this one in the 800 range, I'm surprised the GTX 260s are still as expensive as they are.

It's gonna be around $100-200 more.
I made a similar build and it cost around $1000 so you might have to go over :)

You're looking at $450+ for MOBO+CPU; even in a combo deal; from what I can find.

Then ~$130+ for 6GB RAM.

The GTX 260 is still at $170+

That's already pushing your budget unfinished.

Add the hard drive and you've already busted your budget without a case or the blu-ray player.

I think you'd be lucky to keep this build under $1000, I'm surprised prices haven't changed as much as I expected them to by now.

Like I said originally, the blu-ray player was a big deal-breaker, they cost $60-90+ more than just a CD/DVD drive.

Bump down to a 640GB or smaller hard drive, and drop the blu-ray player, and it shouldn't be hard to keep this in the 800s.
