Gallery: Cases

Haha yeah. I think I'm gonna give the case to my dad, nobody seems to want to buy it. :|

Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, I used the camera on my phone. I'm really happy with the cable management, I spent a long time on it, but it was worth it. I'm still not happy with the PCIE power cables, but there's not much I can do with those.

My new motherboard came today. It's a Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P. My Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe developed heat problem so the NB would begin to overheat only a few minutes after I turned my PC on (and then it would shut off). I replaced the thermal compound for the NB cooler but that only lasted a few hours. Here's what it looks like at the moment:

Looks good Culexor. You should get rid of the mesh behind the exhaust fan for a wire-grill for increased airflow.

Needs dusting. Went back to 4005 Mhz and at it's at 58C under load with a 1000 RPM Thermalright fan in front of it.

After about 14 months I decided to do a "thorough" clean on my case. Unfortunately, I ran out of canned air and I did not get much cleaned. I took part the front cover and attempted to clean some of the dust filters. I removed my front and back fans and cleaned them disinfectant wipes. I though about taking my heatsink off to reapply some thermal paste, but I didn't want to bother taking out the motherboard. I ran out of canned air right as I was moving on to the heatsink. So right now that is not so clean. It's as clean as a 2-month old build. I got most of the dust in the PSU cleaned. Sadly, I don't have any pictures for you guys.

I do have a question though: Are water-cooled systems easier to clean? If so, I'll definitely dish out some cash for a water-cooled system on my next full build.
