I heard that since videos only carries 0's and 1's, the quality of the cable doesn't matter. Is that true?
So a $10 DVI cable is as good as a $50 DVI cable?
What about the adapters?

Thanks

Quality is important with any type of data cable. Better quality materials will conduct signals better and fail less often. It's just like anything else.

But when it comes to something like HDMI or DVI, the quality of the cable doesnt matter because it's all digital right?

If you're currently using a $20 cable and you switch to a $100 cable, you're probably not going to see a difference. I'm just saying that a higher quality cable will most likely last longer and have fewer problems. But that goes for pretty much anything. Cables, cars, golf clubs, whatever...

The higher the quality, the less loss youd have over greater distances
and the longer it will last

if you use a 10# fiber optic cable and a 50$ fiber optic cable, the 50$ cable will work better because it has less impurities in it.
Same thing with everything else.
You pay for what you get.

What about the ones you get in stores for $50 while it's $10 online? Depends?

like you mean if its the same cable, from the same company?
its just like paying 160$ at best buy for a HD4850
get on new egg and pay 100$ for a 4850

its the 'convenience fee' i like to call it.

Just buy from monoprice. With short lengths, a digital signal will see no gain in picture quality with a $100 cable than a $5 one. With larger lengths, this may be different.
