I wouldnt know where to post this question but, do computer support specialist get paid good and are the classes in college hard?

All college classes are hard.
These people are a dime a dozen in this economy.
Our person cover three states.

No there not.. There is a reason that most jobs out there are asking for IT and nursing.
Yes the classes will be hard, but if it's your calling, and what you like to do. It will be fun.

The average pay is about 50k+ to 120k+
Depending on your job of course. You can make anywhere from 50-350k.
All depends on who you work for, what you do, and how well you do it.

Exactly.

I'd like to add that in this field you'll come across a new problem you've never seen EVERYDAY. I think that's what makes it fun though :)

And frustrating as hell sometimes :p

This is actually the field that I would like to go into though

I've been employed as a computer tech with my current company for about 2 years now, been doing similar IT support for about the last 6-7 years or so now and in my experience, most of the people coming for help have very little if any IT knowledge and most of what you explain, despite more than one metaphor ends up going over their head. Building a PC of any scale is cake, diagnosing is trickier but certainly not hard (although can be very frustrating at times) - I'd say the real challenge is yielding a positive result for a customer who doesn't know what they really want.

The post-graduation job rate in U of Ill (where I plan to go) is about 95%, and I think the average starting salary was about 85k.
