Electrical silicone or what?

Hello.

I am new in here today.
A couple days ago I parted the power supplyer out from my laptop. There was a bad connection. I resoldered some wires and then it works. Howerver there was look-like silicon between the wires. It is a gray color and feels like normal silicon.

Here is the picture.
Can you guys tell what this is and where I can get it?
(Local electric supplyer and radioshack do not have that)

Thanks.

Usually they use a somewhat harder white "glue". That would work fine. I'm not sure what it's called, though. I don't think the stuff that j03 posted is what you want.

It wouldn't surprise me if they just used plain silicone or 4800 or something like that.
