Telephone usage statistics

Anyone know where I can find statistics on telephone usage over time? I thought finding info for this kinda thing would be easy, guess I was wrong. Or maybe I just don't know how to search. Anyone have any suggestions?

Its wolframalpha.com And it its really easy to use. It only gives numerical results. Its cool.
