new windows vista update window??

i was wondering if this was real or is it based on a virus? because i have never seen it before

That is normal. Windows update in Vista and later(Windows 7) no longer uses the windows update website, but the control panel component. I would suggest that if you are unsure of this, to run a virus scan/spyware scan. But based on your screenshot, this is legitimate.
