Is it very good? I'm usually not a huge fan of zombie games... I hated the flood in Halo. Not sure I would get into this one so much.

Hmm it's hard to say. I really hated the flood parts in Halo as well but I really like this game so it's hard to compare the two. You should try playing it first.
