Swaping hard drive question??

hey there noob here. i have a sony tz with 100Gb ( really 80GB) and i have a toshiba net book, that has 120 Gb there both 1.8" hard drive. So my question is how do i totaly clear the hard drive so that i can have a clean one to put in my sony tz, or do i have to buy a new one.

So you want to put the bigger hard drive from your netbook into your sony tz?

You could just swap them(if they are both in fact 1.8" drives), boot off your operating system disk that came with your sony tz, reformat and re-install.

yeah the sony is 1.8" hard drive toshiba made. The netbook is xp and the sony is vista would that make any difference.

Nope, a fresh reformatted hard drive doesnt care what operating system you install on it.
