I've lost the Standby option!

So i have my system setup to where i can press the power button and it goes into standby. I recently installed Ubuntu on my slave Maxtor and ever since then, the standby option is greyed on the shutdown menu. I've been into the bios, been into the power settings but i still can't figure it out

I would greatly appreciate any help that is offered
