Hello all,

Getting ready here to build another AMD system, and I have a question. I am looking at installing 6 gigs of ram on this particular system. I am looking at getting
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131402
as the motherboard to the system. My dilemma is that Newegg only offers 6gb as (3x2 DDR3 1600). From what I have read this is indicative of an Intel X58 system. What would be my best way of achieving what I want?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Current System:
|AMD Athlon 64 x2 6400+ Manchester| |Asus MS2-SLI nForce 570| |500gb Seagate SATA 3.0 32mb Harddrive| |GeForce 9800GT| |4gb of Corsair XMS 2 DDR2 6400 Ram| |Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatality Pro| |OCZ Stealth Stream 600 watt SLI cert. PSU| |Logitech Wave Keyboard and Mouse Combo| |OCZ Dominatrix Gaming Mouse| |Windows XP Pro||Logitech G51 speakers| |Lite On DVD burner||Lite On DVD Rom|

You want to run all sticks at the same speed and with the same memory size. You'd also want to stay away from running 2 dual channel setups. Since they don't make 3GB sticks, I'd suggest you go with 8GB if you really want to achieve 6GB. However, that leads me to the following question: Why do you need 6GB of RAM?

For most XP users, 2GB is fine, and 4GB is overkill.
If you're running Vista, 4GB would be the standard.
If you plan on running W7, you'd probably be fine with 2GB, and 4GB being overkill.

Sorry, bud. You can't get 6GB in dual-channel. Go 4GB or 8GB.

To be completely honest, I have no idea why I asked such a dumb question. In my mind I was thinking (well who knows exactly what I was thinking.) In any event, getting ready here to put together another machine and wanted to see what you all thought about what I had in mind.

I do not need an operating system or anything of that sort.

Looks pretty good to me. The video card link seems to be broken. Is it an OC'ed version? If so, you might want to just buy regular and OC it yourself.

Yes, the card is an OC'ed 275. Now according to what I have seen, that's what BFG is selling. In other words, I don't see any others. I did some research to see exactly what cards are doing what these day's and I havn't seen too many complaints. If you have another suggestion I am all ears. I also appreciate the input.

Thanks
