This has been bugging me for a while and happens on any computer in the house.
i have an Iomega Home Network Hard Drive 360GB, so it can be connected to a network or it can be connected straight into a computers USB Port.
the network option can come in useful at times but its very slow due to poor wireless which im not willing to upgrade.
if i connect the device to my vista laptop all works fine, but when i connect it to a windows xp computer all goes wrong!
when plugged in, the computer will automatically switch off and re-boot. the computer will try to do disc check on the device after xp loading screen as it would any other memory device. then if i go to access files on the hard drive (any files, doesnt matter what type) it will do the same freeze, hang abit then restart.
iv tried firmware updates for it and the box claims it all to be XP compatible so i have no idea what to do... help please!!
