The videocards seem to be your weak point.

I think even 1 high-end card would outperform 2x 9800s.

What will this computer be used for?

^^
Get a 260 Core 216 MINIMUM, with your setup I would shoot for a 275 or a 285....
Those will leave the cards in the dust and really let your rig do amazing things :)
Besides, it is always better to get a single powerful card, then a few normal cards in SLI. SLI doesn't give that much of a performance increase.
If you're going to be buying now, MAKE SURE it comes with a Windows 7 upgrade, you'll want to move to that when it comes out, or just wait to buy until that comes out :)

If you dont plan to SLI/crossfire you should also drop down from a 1000W PSU.

He's running 9800GTX SLi, that's around the same speed as the HD 4850 X2, which leaves the 260 in the dust.

I think you need a new case, I hate the Antec 900

I'd still take 1x 4890 or GTX 285/295 over 2x 9800GTX or a HD 4850 X2

Or better yet, 2x 4890s :D

The 4850 X2 sounds like you have a V8-engine in your computer btw.

750 is even overkill, but I would go with that for that rig.

Even so, it does not leave the 285 in the dust, and it doesn't leave the 260 "In the dust" it just barely beats it out, not surprisingly.
It probably is worse then the 275, so he could go with the 285. Also in the future he could just plug another 285.

What's wrong with the 900??

I recommend the 285.....
Why get a V8 engine when you could get a powerful graphics card? :D

1 GPU vs 2 GPUs at similar cost/performance = always go with the 1 GPU.

2x 9800 GTX is not twice the power of 1x 9800 GTX. And if the game you are playing does not have the right driver support, you'll end up playing as if you had 1x 9800 GTX anyway.

The Antec 900 is a good case. X2 cards are huge though if you plan to get one, make sure there's room.

Other than the fact that you're paying a lot for a PSU you'll never use fully?

Yep. Make sure your OS comes with a free Win7 upgrade coupon.
