Strange CD Player Issue

So i just got a Technics SC-EH600 Component Hi-fi system. Now everything works except the CD Player. The CD Player Skips and Stutters on tracks (First 30 Seconds of Track 1 fine) 1-6 on ANY Cd (Tried Heaps) and plays tracks 7 to 12 fine and then continues to skip/stutter.

I Have cleaned the lense but it's obvious it's not that,any ideas?

Seems to me like the laser pickup may be faulty.
The mirror could have been slightly thrown out of allignment so that as you say, tracks 7 to 12 play fine, but earlier tracks do not.

I don't know what to suggest..

Well i have been listening to it now for a while and now tracks 5 and 6 appear to be playing ok?

Edit: Yep,Confirmed Tracks 5 and 6 are getting better?

I suggest putting a very long CD in with tracks all over the place, and placing it on random and leaving it for a while.
