Which Ram

So.. from my other thread I decided to buy a

http://configure.euro.dell.com/dell...l=en&m_30=124967&oc=D00SX03&rbc=D00SX03&s=dhs

I'm going with the 21.5 inch screen for the 1920 x 1080, 500gb hd.. since i won't use more than 200 of it for sure and the 512mb ATI 4850 graphics card.

I'll be using the computer for gaming.. in particular playing Aion at fairly high settings with max resolution. My question is.. I don't know what ram to get..

3072MB (3x1024) 1067MHz DDR3 Tri Channel
4096MB (4x1024) 1067MHz DDR3 Dual Channel
6144MB (6x1024) 1067MHz DDR3 Tri Channel
8192MB (4x1024,2x2048) 1067MHz DDR3 Dual Channel

What would you reccommend for such gaming graphics as I don't know the differrence between tri channel/dual channel and how much of an upgrade each one is.

Thanks for any help.

Edit: I'm also under the impression our of the two -

512MB ATI® Radeon® 4850 Graphics card
1GB NVIDIA® GeForce™ GT220 graphics card

The ATI one is the far superior.. Is that right?

So... you're computer is a Core i7?

*edit: Nevermind, I didn't know the Core i7 supports both dual channel & tri channel... its the other way around, AMD doesnt support tri channel... Not too sure on the difference. Obviously tri channel is faster but to what extent? they integrated the memory controller onto the CPU in the i7 so it communicates with the memory much faster; you should be fine with 4GB dual-channel but if its not too much more money id recommend 6GB tri-channel.

The HD 4850 is much better than a GT220. the 512MB vs 1GB VRAM will only make a difference at high resolutions. If it uses up all the VRAM it will borrow from your memory. Not too sure on the math, maybe somebody more experienced can help you there.

My suggestions:
6GB Tri-Channel RAM or 4GB Dual-Channel
HD 4850
