Question on new computer

Okay, first off I apologize if this is the wrong forum or section to post this in. I'm posting and browsing from my blackberry so it's somewhat hard to see. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone could tell me if this is would be a good investment.. first off let me tell you that I'm not interested in building a computer.. but telling me how much money I could save if I did would help. I'm not a casual gamer but I'm not a super hardcore one either and I'd like a computer that would at least be able to hold up for more than a year or two. My home computer now is BAD! I bought it for around $600 quite some time ago and it's just getting to the point where I can barely do anything on it anymore. It can hardly run any Adobe CS4 programs! It has some old ATI card in it.. maybe an X1600 and some single core processor but I'll admit it has lasted a lot longer than I thought it would, though I have did some RAM and card upgrades to it over the years. Anyway, back to the point I'm looking to upgrade and even if it's not the best computer ever I'd like it to be decent and I'd like to not get ripped off. It is from Best Buy but like I said I'm not looking to build my own. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

From what information on it is available, looks like a good deal to me.

Wouldn't expect to build that rig for less than $1K.

for a prebuilt it's a good deal, actually a really good deal that will eat up most games, the only thing that has me scratching my head is the memory, it says it comes with 9GBs...? how do they get that amount...? I've never seen 3GB sticks, and to get an evenly distributed amount among three dimm slots it would take 3GBs per stick, or do they have three 2Gb sticks in one channel and three 1GB sticks in the other (I can't see it having more than six dimm slots)...? it just seems weird and from past experience could lead to some issues because a lot of motherboards (even some i7 x58 mobos) don't like having all the dimm slots full, but if anything does come up it's a prebuilt so there should be a warranty...

that is actually a good deal and about as good as you're gonna get for prebuilts, if someone wasn't gonna build their own (like you) I would suggest a similar build for a similar price...
