hello i have a ibm t42 laptop. i recently found it and decided to format the hard drive and reinstall windows. i got all of the drivers for everything on it. when i unplug the power cord it just turns off. it shows that the battery is at 46% and is charging. it's been like 2 hours now and the percent hasn't gone up. even if i try shutting down and try to boot with only the battery it wont boot. i just updated the bios from the ibm website too. also when i plug the battery in the battery light flashes orange a couple times then stays solid orange.

PLEASE HELP ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!

THANKS

Battery Drivers. Had the same problem with my HP DVseries. Wouldn't run off of the battery because it had improper drivers for the battery. Check IBM's website for battery drivers/firmware updates. It's also a narrow situation to change OS's on a laptop.
