3 way SLI or better card?

Question which would be better? Would 3 Geforce GTX 260 core 216 be best or should i go with a 2 or 1 of a better card?

if you can afford 3 GTX 260s then i would just go for the gold and get a GTX 295
and be amazed

Noone really needs more than 2 285's. It's just for fun I suppose. I don't hold people back who are set on 4+ Grand systems. As long as they post pics and benches, I'm happy.

not really, it's playable but still can't hit the magical 60FPS mark...

it scales the worst in TRI-SLI, but that's to be expected...

hardcore cards are definently the workstation cards like the ati fire pro or nvidia quadro fx. but those in triple SLI/crossfire and see where that gets you
only thing is they're more than 1000+ each
