the size and cost of SSDs do not make sense for slave drives (data drives), the only use that really makes sense would be using it for OSes and programs...

Having the SSD Hold your Operating system (Games and programs if you have the room) and everything else on your standard hardrive would be the best route to go.I can get a 60gb OCZ SSD For $200 and it's quite tempting actually....
