Another sleep problem thread

I don't have much of a dependency upon sleep at all. I'll only get a couple hours, max of 3-5 hours a day in the week but then i'll crash all over the place on the weekend and i'll do 10 hours sleep on both days of the week end.

I still feel active, i'm still highly intelligent and i'm still able to socialise and work as normal. If i could have 7 hours a day, 7days a week i would give that a try but that wont happen for me. I've tried everything except prescription drugs.

IF you still feel active then thats ok. For me I often have a very disturbed night or just a very light sleep and I wake up feeling worse than if I haven't even gone to sleep at all

ummm that crap has some pretty bad side effects. I would suggest doing some research being taking a hormone drug

I take about 50mg of melatonin if i am out of ambien and then take 2 extra strength advil p.m.'s for my insomnia and melatonin technically doesn't have side effects. Nor does it have advantages. Only 1 out of 10 people have responded to any sort of change on it. It is more of a placebo to change your minds state into being tired than actually doing anything.

I have had insomnia for 2 years where i will go 2-3 days without sleeping, so I take ambien now and i go to sleep by 10 every night and wake up at 6 and feel great.

EDIT: I have been taking melatonin for over a year as a study/test and nothing has happened for me at all. The doctors said that is normal and I can take it if i want, but since it doesn't do anything positive or negative for me I stay away from it. I know people who have taken it and say it helps them sleep. In test done melatonin has very few "side effects". It is all natural and doesn't do much. EDIT:

Try this if you need anything.

spammer?

but anywas..i have to deal with the same problem...Natural sleeping aids help me like meletonin pills and such..but currently im on ambien...They want to switch me to valium..but thats also becasue i have really bad anxiety.

Idk, sleep meds do help..but when you wake up...you dont feel "refreshed" but thats just how i am..anything feels refreshing after not sleeping more than 1 hour a day for 2 weeks..

The solution to these issues is simple:

Buy a new computer. :)
New computers make everything better.
